Why Powell Tate?
"I had an amazing experience at Powell Tate and am so grateful to have had the opportunity to work on such diverse projects with so many wonderful people. I feel like I walked away at the end of the summer with not only more experience under my belt, but also with much more knowledge and confidence than when I began. It might be strange to say, but my last day at the office was bittersweet; I was excited to go back to college, but also sad to leave PT. If ever there was a sign of a successful summer internship, I think that might be it."
— Liz Walcott, Summer Intern, 2011
Living Your Dream – While our paramount goal is to help our clients succeed, we also want to make sure that our employees thrive as well. That’s why every employee who has been with the company for a year is eligible to submit a “Living the Dream” proposal to help get that extra push…whether it’s traveling abroad to follow an NCAA basketball team or following the Grateful Dead across the country.
Work/Life Balance – At Powell Tate, we believe in the need to promote and enhance work-life balance. Our Culture Committee increases the enthusiasm of staff work life through social and community activities, improvement of office culture and employee recognition. Our Worklife Wellness program is designed to promote experiences that enhance employee creativity and cultural awareness, as well as health and wellness. This includes monthly reimbursements for health club memberships, theater tickets, museum admission and continuing education classes. Every six months, Powell Tate awards a “Living The Dream” prize to an employee, complete with an after-tax stipend of $1,000 and five extra paid-time-off days to fulfill a dream.
Powell Tate Academy – At Powell Tate we are committed to your growth and development. We have developed a robust learning and development curriculum in a variety of tracks for all levels of staff. In addition to training in public relations and public affairs, the tracks provide training in leadership, management and supervision; sales and negotiation; client relations and consulting skills; communication; teamwork; career development; and creativity. We combine our classroom training offerings with e-Learning solutions. The result is a wide choice of excellent instructor-led classes and Web-based training, which provides access to the knowledge our people need to fulfill their professional aspirations. These courses have been developed by the Learning & Development team and the senior staff at Powell Tate.
