We work with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services to
provide vital healthcare information, tools and resources that help Americans make well-informed health care decisions.

Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services

Since 2005, Powell Tate has worked with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) to develop and implement integrated marketing campaigns to help beneficiaries make informed healthcare decisions and utilize key benefits, fight Medicare Fraud  and improve quality and lower cost across the U.S. healthcare system.

To achieve CMS communications objectives, we utilize a broad range of communications strategies and tactics. Currently, we are building awareness of the Administration’s crackdown on Medicare fraud – and what Americans can do to help – through a national advertising campaign and regional Medicare summits with HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius and Attorney General Eric Holder. Our earned and social media efforts in support of the new DMEPOS competitive bidding program have helped increase awareness of cost-savings and minimize supply disruptions to Medicare beneficiaries who rely on durable medical equipment. To promote the use of online quality comparison tools like Hospital Compare and Nursing Home Compare, we implemented CMS’ first digital advertising campaign. Meanwhile, we are facilitating a grassroots collaboration with the AARP/Walgreen’s Wellness Tour to increase utilization of the “Welcome to Medicare” visit. We have also conducted research to inform the development of Healthcare.gov, the Medicare & You handbook and communications strategies to reach future generations of beneficiaries.
