We created the integrated American Free Enterprise campaign to educate Americans, particularly young adults, about the importance of enterprise to our economy.
U.S. Chamber of Commerce
Concerned that the economic downturn of the last few years may have shaken confidence in the free enterprise system and that the foundation of our past prosperity – free enterprise – may be too easily cast aside during this period of uncertainty and upheaval, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce asked Powell Tate to create a multi-faceted campaign to remind Americans about the importance of free enterprise to our nation’s long-term economic health.
Powell Tate created the American Free Enterprise. Dream Big. campaign to educate Americans about the essential role that free enterprise plays in strengthening our economy; to highlight the many ways in which we as individuals benefit from the free enterprise system; and to enlist the support of every American in preserving and advancing free enterprise. Specific tactical elements of the campaign include aggressive traditional and social media outreach, a dynamic and interactive website, and innovative contests designed to engage young audiences, as well as journalists, thought leaders, and the public at large in a nationwide dialogue about free enterprise. The campaign also includes a “20 million jobs challenge,” designed to engage every American in a dialogue about how we can create the 20 million jobs we will need for the future to revive our economy and ensure long-term growth.
Tthe campaign achieved significant attention and interest from entrepreneurs, journalists and thought leaders, with thousands of visitors to www.FreeEnterprise.com, Facebook fans and Twitter followers. Engagement is expected to expand and deepen significantly as free enterprise dialogue events continue across the country and additional programs are rolled out over the coming months. While the campaign is still in its infancy, the great success of the initial phase has paved the way for a robust and active campaign going forward.
