Medical Imaging & Technology Alliance
With multiple legislative and regulatory challenges facing the medical imaging community, the Medical Imaging & Technology Alliance (MITA) hired Powell Tate to run a long-term campaign promoting the value of imaging as well as advocating for public policies that ensure that the decision to order an image remains between physicians and patients.
Using the umbrella message “The Right Scan at the Right Time Saves Lives and Dollars,” Powell Tate works to demonstrate that all members of the imaging community support policy solutions that help ensure proper utilization of advanced imaging technologies without compromising patient access.
Our work has included planning media and grassroots events in collaboration with leading patient advocate organizations including the American Cancer Society, Susan G. Komen for the Cure, the National Osteoporosis Foundation, Breast Cancer Network of Strength, Colon Cancer Alliance, Lung Cancer Alliance and US Too International. In addition, we put together congressional briefings and Capitol Hill events including the “Champions of Women’s Health” reception to honor members of Congress who have supported improved access to life-saving screenings and treatment for important women’s health issues;.
Powell Tate helped collect thousands of letters sent to key legislators and compelling patient stories collected via an interactive Web portal: www.rightscanrighttime.org.
