WORK

When did you start working at Powell Tate?

What’s the best piece of career advice you’ve ever gotten?

Be curious, not judgmental (It is from Ted Lasso, but it applies to real-life too.)

What’s the coolest (or weirdest) place a project has taken you?

Very early in my career, I traveled solo to Hong Kong to witness the handover of Hong Kong from British to Chinese rule.

What’s the best thing you’ve seen happen inside Powell Tate office?

It is the mix of diverse people coming together. Recently, I was there when our global chief creative officer was meeting with our head of geopolitical strategy, and I knew great ideas would spark.

If you weren’t working in this industry, what would you want to do?

I’d love to be an architect. Just like our work, architecture mixes art and science, and is rooted in an understanding of how people live. Plus, I’m drawn to its beauty and permanence.

“I work on issues that matter, with bright people who genuinely care about the work – and each other. Plus, an amazing global network is just a Teams call away.”

LIFE

What’s something surprising people might not know about you?

My family is Quaker. I was the captain of my high school cheerleading team. I have dual US-UK citizenship.

What’s your favorite way to unwind in your free time?

DIY home projects and watch Manchester City play soccer.

Where would you love to travel in the world to gain inspiration?

I love people-watching in foreign cities — outside of the tourist neighborhoods — and visiting historic places. Rome, Naples and Pompeii are up next.

What’s your favorite thing about your hometown?

I grew up in a very working-class Italian area of northern New Jersey. I miss the pizza and the unpretentiousness.

Who is someone that inspires you right now?

Steve Kerr. I’ve always admired his commitment to professional excellence and personal integrity, and that he isn’t shy about speaking truth to power.
